Non rétabli d'une infection bactérienne survenue au Tour de l'Avenir (lire ici), Kenneth Van Rooy a décidé de renoncer au Championnat du Monde Espoirs. Le coureur de Lotto-Soudal U23 sera remplacé par Daan Myngheer (Vérandas Willems).
