Dernier grand rendez-vous de la saison en Normandie organisé par Christian Becquet, le Grand Prix de Blangy-sur-Bresle (Seine-Maritime) a été remporté ce samedi par Christopher De Souza (VC Rouen 76). En pleine confiance au coté de son capitaine de route Franck Vermeulen, le jeune normand remporte sa 7e victoire de la saison. 105 coureurs étaient candidats a la succession de Pierre-Luc Périchon (SCO Dijon) au départ de cette épreuve élite nationale courue a une allure record (43,549 km/heure de moyenne). Sous le soleil, la bonne échappée se formait un peu avant la mi-course lorsque Drancourt (ESEG Douai), Gougeard (USSA Pavilly Barentin), Gorichon (CM Aubervilliers 93), Gratiot et Guay (CC Nogent), De Souza et Vermeulen (VC Rouen 76) et Lebreton (VS Chartres) prenaient le commandement. Toutes les grosses formations étant représenté en tête, l'écart se creusait progressivement pour atteindre près d'une minute d'avance. Après une multitudes d'attaques dans le final, tout se joua au sprint. Négociant le dernier virage en 2e position dans la roue de Lebreton, le champion de Normandie, récent vainqueur d'une étape aux 3 jours de Cherbourg, imposait sa loi dans la dernière ligne droite.
